Computex 2014 Roundup

Myself, and our website designer Leo, were lucky enough to get the chance to go over to Taipei, Taiwan to cover the Computex 2014 trade-show. One of the things that was immediately apparent at Computex 2014 was the amount of new, mind-blowing tech that threatens to eat away at our pockets in the months to come. We picked out some of our favourite technology showcases at the show and have got them below for your viewing delight.

Gigabyte's P35W Laptop

Gigabyte's latest power laptop is the new remake of the P35 series of performance laptop, and is sure to please fans of the previous laptops in the series. With a smooth and slick new design , the P35W also has a new UHD/4K display (3840 x 2160) with an impressive 170° viewing angle. It is 20.9 mm in height and weighs around 2.16 kg. Along with the redesign, the P35W has a auto-adjust backlit keyboard and impressive surround sound to make sure that your games, movies and music all sound the very best. The price is currently at £1,399 and converts into around $2539 AUD.

60 HZ 4K ASUS Monitor

The new 60 Hz 4K Monitor by Asus is extremley impressive with the vivid colours popping right out of the screen. The colour and clarity is probably the thing that brings the most attention towards the new monitor, as the moment you look at it, you can see the crispness and every blemish with the desktop backround. It is a 32" 4K screen that has a 3840x2160 resolution, already set when you buy the monitor. The reason why I chose to put this monitor on the list though is one of its unique features. It supports HDMI 2.0, which allows you to support 60 Hz when you use the right display output. This is a gem to look out for.
