Alex Williamson's Sin On My Face is the popular YouTube comedian's new stand up comedy show, and it was great to see an Adelaide local back in his hometown! Known on YouTube and Twitter as 'Shooter', Williamson's comedy has always been edgy and provocative, not shying away from controversial topics, and this was immediately the case with his new show.
Williamson started the show with a joke about the catholic church and the recent prosecution of Geroge Pell, and as he went further and further down the rabbit hole, the audience chuckled in both amusement and disgust. Whilst the content was course and Williamson was cursing like a sailor, he still managed to bring up some serious issues within his set, and it was a nice break from some of his other content. The crowd at the Arkaba was nearly completely full, and it was great to see the amount of support for a local comedian.
Williamson's new show was course and offensive, but it managed to pack in a lot of heart, and it was a nice change to see him perform in a live setting, rather than his usual YouTube shenanigans. I'd recommend seeing Williamson in the future if you get the chance!
