Daze to Thirty Review

Daze to Thirty was a theatre piece performed and created by Ingrid Taylor-Moss. It followed the story of a 30 year old woman, reflecting on all of the different elements of her life, her job, her relationships, as well as her fondness to both wine and sugar. Whilst mimicking vignettes of her day at work, Taylor-Moss would talk to the audience, telling them her true opinions regarding the situations she was in.

The show's writing was witty and clever, and for a one person show, it was certainly impressive. It almost felt auto-biographical at times, leaving the audience wondering whether the performance had some connections to reality. Taylor-Moss was also a talented physical performer, constantly walking around the set talking to the other 'employees' and 'customers' with ease. The only props she relied on were some wine glasses and bottles, as well as a packet of sugar!

Overall, Daze to Thirty was an enjoyable show with a lot of heart, and I would definitely try to check it out this festival season!
