Popular Australian political youtuber Jordan Shanks, known better as his channel name Friendlyjordies is back again with a new comedy show, all about the missteps of John Howard. When I arrived at the venue, it was packed, and the crowd was lively and energetic, excited for Jordan's show. The show was similar to his content on YouTube in many ways, as Jordan had a power-point presentation set up behind him to display statistics and funny images to compliment his political commentary.
Throughout the show, Jordan would interact with the audience, gauging their opinions about certain topics and jokes, and it was a fun way to make the show a bit more interactive. Another positive element about the show was it's educational nature, as I learnt many new facts regarding the Howard governments management, and some of the controversies and issues that occurred over Howard's 11 year run.
Overall, Jordan made the move from YouTube to a live comedy show excellently, and his show was funny as well as informative.
